In recent news, Shah Rukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri Khan and kids Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, and AbRam Khan, will soon move out of their luxurious mansion, Mannat. As per reports, SRK will have to shift from his existing house due to renovation. Also, Mannat’s annexe has been extended, which will take nearly two years. Meanwhile, Mannat is one of the most iconic locations in Mumbai. The place has also become a tourist spot, with thousands of people visiting and getting clicked. However, do you know what Mannat’s name was earlier? If not, then keep scrolling to read about it.
The actor bought Mannat in 2001. He purchased the property for Rs 13 crore. However, before naming it Mannat, the posh bungalow in the Bandstand area of Bandra, Mumbai, had another name. The original name of Mannat was Villa Vienna, a heritage building constructed in 1914 by Nariman K. Dubash.
Even before SRK bought the home, fans saw a glimpse of the bungalow in one of SRK’s songs, Chaand Taare, from his film Yes Boss. The lyrics of the song include “Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai,” and it turns out Shah Rukh Khan’s dream of owning the place has now been converted into reality.
Mannat is a six-story mansion that is spread across 27,000 square feet. The property is a blend of vintage charm and modern elegance. As per reports, the worth of Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat is about Rs 200 crore.
Meanwhile, reports of Shah Rukh Khan moving out of Mannat along with his family are making rounds. According to a source quoted by Hindustan Times, the actor will not just move with his family but also with some of his security members and staff. The source was quoted as saying by HT, “It is clearly not as capacious as Mannat, but there is enough space to accommodate his security and other staff.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s new abode will be producer Vashu Bhagnani’s son Jackky Bhagnani and daughter Deepshika Deshmukh’s home, Puja Casa, in Mumbai’s Pali Hill area in Bandra. The King Khan has taken the flat on lease for the next three years. Further, he will pay Rs 24 lakh as rent every month.
