This Morning's Josie Gibson made a frank confession about a "problem" she faced in her relationships. The 40-year-old, who shot to fame after winning in 2010, had a public relationship with fellow contestant John James Parton.
They moved in together post-show but soon parted ways. Josie was later engaged to plumber Luke Sanwo in 2012, but their relationship ended amidst a harsh exchange of social media posts.
Josie seemed to have found love again with Terry Bond, the father of her son Reggie, but they separated just five months after their child's birth. Josie has previously shared that Terry asked her to leave their home following a heated argument about his OCD on New Year's Eve in 2018.
In her 2014 book, The Diet: Love Food, Get Slim, Stay Slim, Josie gave an honest evaluation of two of her early relationships. She wrote: "From my first bloke Kevin to John James on Big Brother, all I ever wanted was someone who'd be proud of being my man. Someone who thought I was worth showing off because they loved me.
"And I never felt that way with either of them if I'm totally honest, but the problem was probably with me. When I was overweight, I could barely stand to see myself naked, never mind anyone else copping an eyeful. The thought of having sex when you're a size 18 or 20 is about as nerve wracking as it gets," reports .

In a transformation that left her followers absolutely gobsmacked, Josie dropped an extraordinary 6 stone back in 2013, shifting from a size 20 down to a sprightly size 12. The cornerstone of Josie's regimen for shedding the pounds was a meticulously crafted diet plan consisting of intense exercise sessions and a strict dietary programme.
She confessed that her long-standing penchant for sugary treats had dominated her eating habits for nearly twenty years, leading to her decision to completely eliminate sugar. In an endeavour to fine-tune her eating routine further, Josie also adopted the intermittent fasting approach, confining her meals to an eight-hour daily window.
During a candid chat in 2024, she shared some pearls of wisdom about meal timings: "The way you eat your meals is very important. I eat my meals within an eight-hour period. So I'd wake up in the morning and have my breakfast about 8 or 9am, then I'd have my lunch at midday, 1pm, and then I'd have my tea at 4pm, so it was all digested in an eight-hour period, which gives me 16 hours then to metabolise and digest my food properly."
But that's not all – Josie maintains a steadfast commitment to regular physical activity. Every single day, she ensures that she gets in at least half an hour of movement.
Reflecting on the psychological hurdles of exercise, she said: "The hardest thing about a workout is thinking about doing it. Most of the time when I've just cracked on with it, I didn't have time to think about it and talk myself out of it. Plus, when I finish a workout I've felt so proud of myself and so happy with myself.
"I love that strong feeling that you get when you're getting fit and healthy again. So make time for that half an hour a day, you won't regret it."
In December, Josie opened up about her love life, confessing she's still on the single market. She explained that with a six-year-old child and a hectic work schedule, it "wouldn't be fair" to start a new relationship, asking: "My time is split between my career and my son, where would anyone fit in?" Fans can catch Josie on Channel 5 tonight at 8pm in 'Around the World in First Class', where she'll jet off to Dubai for a luxurious stay in an overwater villa, followed by a night at the exclusive Al Maha resort in the Arabian Desert.
