Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has indicated extensive improvement in the madrasa education system in the state. In a high -level meeting held on Friday, he expressed the need to mold the syllabus of madrasas to the new education policy 2020. Along with this, the need for change in the merit of madrasa teachers and employees has also been stated.
The Chief Minister directed that the selection process of madrasa teachers should be made completely fair and transparent, so that only qualified candidates get opportunities. He also clarified that the state government aims to ensure professionalism and quality in the operation of madrasas, so that the future of students can be bright.
High level committee will be formed
Chief Minister Yogi directed that a committee should be formed under the chairmanship of the Director of Minority Welfare. This committee will prepare recommendations on issues to operating madrasas, service-security of teachers, changes in curriculum and overall development of students. The committee will consist of Special Secretary of Basic Education, Secondary Education, Finance, Justice and Minorities Welfare Departments.
Emphasis on skill development along with education
It was also discussed in the meeting that along with traditional religious education, modern subjects and skill development should also be included in the madrasa course. With this, madrasa students will be able to connect mainstream education and employment opportunities in a better way.
This step of the state government is not only important towards bringing quality in madrasa education, but it is also considered an attempt to bring minority students into the mainstream.
