According to Mr. Modi, “more than 90 lakh self-help groups have more than 10 crore women working for them,” and three out of the top five candidates in this year’s UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) test are female.

Mr. Modi also emphasized that “it’s a time for unprecedented opportunities for youth” after handing more than 51,000 appointment letters to recently hired Central government workers across various ministries at the 15th edition of Rozgar Mela.

While handing out appointment letters, the prime minister said, “The youth are the foundation of any nation’s progress and success; when the youth actively participate in nation-building, the nation experiences rapid development and establishes its identity on the global stage.”

“Over 90 lakh self-help groups have more than 10 crore women working for them,” Mr. Modi said, adding that “three of the top five toppers in this year’s UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exam are women.”

“The government is also focusing on empowering rural women, and India’s women’s power is reaching new heights in fields ranging from bureaucracy to space and science,” he said.

He went on to say that the government is making every effort to ensure that job and self-employment options for India’s young continue to expand, adding that “India’s youth are showcasing their immense potential to the world through their hard work and innovation.”

Stressing that the car and shoe sectors’ output and exports have reached all-time highs, creating a vast number of jobs, Mr. Modi said that his administration is taking a number of steps to guarantee that job and self-employment prospects continue to expand.

At the same time, 47 venues nationwide hosted the employment fair. According to a government statement, this is consistent with the Center’s pledge to give job creation high priority.

He said that the Manufacturing Mission, which the government announced in the budget, aims to support the “Make in India” movement and provide India’s young people the chance to produce goods that are standardized over the world.

In addition to helping millions of MSMEs and small business owners countrywide, the Manufacturing Mission will provide new job possibilities, he said.

“Mumbai will soon host the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, which puts the nation’s youth at its core and gives young creators such a platform for the first time,” the prime minister said.

“WAVES is an unprecedented opportunity for media, gaming, and entertainment innovators to showcase their talent,” Mr. Modi added.

Reiterating that the World Monetary Fund has stated that India will continue to be the major economy with the fastest rate of growth and that job opportunities will be increasing across the board, Mr. Modi added that the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), which will take place in Mumbai, will also provide a significant chance for young people to demonstrate their abilities on a global scale.

Additionally, he said, “the event will infuse a new energy into the sphere of digital content, and they will learn about immersive media and artificial intelligence.”
