The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain and thundershowers in some parts of Delhi, along with strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Highlights of Delhi-NCR weather:
Current condition: Very hot, day temperature around 45 degree Celsius.
Forecast: Light rain and thundershowers are expected from June 12.
Winds: Strong winds are likely to blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour, which will provide some relief.
Continuous heat wave in Uttar Pradesh:
Severe heat wave conditions persist in many districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The IMD has warned that there will be no significant change in temperature in the next two days.
Eastern Uttar Pradesh may witness some rain and thundershowers from today, while western Uttar Pradesh will remain dry.
Heat wave warnings continue, especially in parts of western Uttar Pradesh, where day temperatures are expected to remain high.
Severe heat and rain warnings in Bihar:
Bihar is experiencing severe heat and no significant change in temperature is expected in the next 24 hours.
An orange alert for rain has been issued in 19 districts of north Bihar, with chances of rain and thunderstorms.
A yellow alert for humid heat has been issued in 19 districts of south Bihar.
Areas without rain will continue to face humid heat.
Haryana temperature crosses 44 degrees Celsius:
Six districts of Haryana recorded temperatures above 44 degrees Celsius.
Orange heatwave alert is active in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani and Rohtak.
Hot, dry northwesterly and westerly winds are expected to blow for the next few days, which may increase the heat further.
