Riwa Sidhi Fourlane: The state government has approved the plan to expand the Rewa-Siddhi Marg in four lanes. Under this project, the old two -lane old highway will now be widened and converted into four lanes. This will not only improve road traffic, but will also provide direct benefit to rural areas of Rewa district.

Temporary ban on land purchase and sale

The National Highway Authority (NHAI) and the Ministry of Road Transport have given the green signal to the project. Due to this, the purchase-sale, division and diversion of land have been banned in dozens of villages under Gurh tehsil. This restriction was implemented 6 months before the commencement of work and continues till now.

The land ban implemented in the villages includes – Pakra, Banjari, Mudhiya, Narayanpur, Ganjar, Padeua, Amilia, Barigwan, Khadda, Umri (Awadheshpur), Reti, Mazavan, Puras, Barwar, Barsita Desh, Baragaon, Bhiti, Gerui, Bhatigwan, Gudhwa, Hatwa etc.

Farmers of these villages are not allowed to sell or buy their land in the present, so that there is no obstruction in the process of land acquisition.

Roadside land will be acquired

The roadside lands will be acquired mainly for the construction of Rewa-Siddhi Four Lane highway. One side of land will be taken at some places while land on both sides will be taken at many places. The government will get the necessary width from this scheme, so that the highway can be converted to four lanes.

Local people will benefit from the project

With the formation of four lane highway, traffic on Rewa-Siddhi route will become faster and smooth. This will not only facilitate traffic but will also make access to business, education and health services. Also, due to better connectivity to rural areas, new opportunities for employment and development will also be revealed.
