UP Monsoon:  The first phase of monsoon in Uttar Pradesh is now coming to an end. The monsoon which entered the state via Madhya Pradesh on June 17 was active till now, but clouds are expected to clear from most districts from Sunday. This means that the rain will decrease and once again the feeling of heat will intensify.












Next 72 hours: Trouble will increase due to heat and humidity


According to the Meteorological Department, there is little chance of rain on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. During this time, the day temperature will increase sharply and the mercury can go up to 37 degrees or more. However, nights may provide some relief, as the temperature is expected to remain below 25 degrees.



But due to high humidity, the heat index will increase, which will make the heat feel more intense. Weather expert Dr. SN Sunil Pandey said that this time the monsoon started well in UP, although there has been relatively less rain in Kanpur division.










There will be good rain in eastern UP, the next spell will come from Bihar


Dr. Pandey said that the next spell of monsoon is likely to enter the state from Bihar. This may lead to good rains in the districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh including Kanpur.




Heavy rain in Kanpur on Friday, waterlogging in many areas


On Friday, Kanpur witnessed light drizzle in the morning and heavy rain in the evening before the first spell of monsoon concluded. Heavy rains occurred in the southern and northern parts of the city for half an hour to 20 minutes, leading to waterlogging at many places. A total of 13 mm of rain was recorded in CSA, including 2 mm in the morning and 11 mm in the evening.




Where will there be heavy rain, where will there be danger of lightning?


The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for some districts:



Heavy to very heavy rain likely:

Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Bijnor and adjoining areas.

Possibility of lightning/thunder:

Many districts including Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mathura, Agra, Moradabad, Bareilly, Jhansi, Lalitpur.

Possibility of heavy rain:

Ghaziabad, Noida, Bulandshahr, Mathura, Firozabad, Bareilly, Badaun, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.
