A beautiful hill station in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, which is known for its calm litigants and colorful markets, witnessed a terrible accident this morning. Mall Road, which is the center of movement of tourists and local people, suddenly erupted in a shop at around nine in the morning. On seeing this, the fire took such a formidable form that the entire shop was burnt to ashes. There was chaos among the people around, and the market atmosphere became tense. The accident was not only a major loss for the shop owner, but also became a scary experience for people living in this busy area of Mussoorie.

How did this tragedy start?

According to the locals, the fire began with a small shop located on Mall Road, where there was a fire due to probably short circuit or any other technical fault. Within a few minutes the flames became so fast that all the items, clothes, decorative items and other valuables kept in the shop were burnt. Flames and smoke also engulfed three other shops nearby, which also filled the smoke there. Eyewitnesses say that the smoke was so dense that the surrounding streets also became blurred for some time.

Rapid action of fire brigade

As soon as the news of the accident was received, the local people immediately informed the fire brigade. The fire brigade team reached the spot and started trying to control the fire. After several hours of hard work, the fire was found to be controlled, but by then the main shop was completely destroyed. Fire brigade officials said the cause of the fire is still being ascertained, and the short circuit is considered to be the main reason in the initial investigation.
