New Delhi . Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed appointment letters to more than 51 thousand youths at the 16th employment fair held across the country. PM Modi, who is associated with video conferencing in the program, said that the echo of India’s youth power has been heard abroad. Employment fair was organized at 47 different places in the country.


In his address during the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that your strength is a guarantee of India’s future. Whatever be the work, whatever the place, we have only one goal – national service and civil service. Meanwhile, PM Modi, while referring to his recent visit to five countries, said that I have returned from a trip to five countries two days ago. The echo of India’s youth power has been heard in every country. He said that the youths have to benefit from whatever agreements were reached during this visit. Work, region and post, but, the same goal is of nation service. With this, PM Modi gave the best mantra of service to the youth who got jobs and greeted for this new journey.


Prime Minister Modi said in his address that India’s economy is moving fast in the world today and the credit goes to the youth of the country. He talked about the mission manufacturing and PLI to become employment and said that the expansion and production linked incentive (PLI) scheme in the manufacturing sector created 11 lakh jobs. The number of mobile manufacturing units has reached 300. With this, India’s defense production has gone above 1.25 lakh crores and the country has now become the most locomotive country.


25 crore people came out of poverty
Prime Minister Modi said that due to government schemes, 25 crore people have come out of the poverty line. International organizations like World Bank consider this progress of India as models. He said that more than 4 crore pucca houses have been built so far under the PM Awas Yojana, which has provided employment to millions of people associated with Mistry, Workers, Transport and Supply Chains. Most of the jobs are being created in rural areas.


So far, more than 9.73 lakhs got employment
Since the first phase of the employment fair launched by Prime Minister Modi on 22 October 2022, 9.73 lakh youth have been given government jobs. The last fair was held on 26 April 2025, while on 12 February 2024, more than 1 lakh job letters were distributed at the 12th fair. Employment Fair is an initiative of the Central Government, aimed at linking the youth with government services in a timely manner. Through the fairs organized from the first phase till now, the central government is carrying on the process of appointments in various departments rapidly.
