A.C.E ’s youngest member Kang Yuchan has officially made his solo debut! The idol officially released his first solo song earlier this month, marking a new era for him. Recently, during an interview, the artist delved into what made him start his career with ‘ Champagne Poppin ’.



Yuchan opens up about solo debutThe idol openly talked about making his solo debut and venturing away from the group to work on his independent activities. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the idol opened up about the inspiration behind his songs and solo debut, citing that his conversations with the producers were the most helpful. He also talked about the artists that inspired him as well, naming Justin Bieber and Troye Sivan and their ability to “capture and express their own unique emotions and colours through their music”.



Yuchan also got candid about working on his own, as opposed to his usual scenario of working with a team of supportive members. He shared that the responsibilities have increased on him, as with a group, everything about a performance and a song is distributed; however, as a solo artist, everything is on you.

It is not just limited to music; he is also known for his work in survival shows. When asked about what kind of advice he would like to give any new person entering such shows in the industry, he shared that one should protect their true identity.



He also delved into how feedback should be taken as a way to “nourish your growth”, rather than getting swayed by it.
