Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma after deciding to sell Ederson to Fenerbahce.
Pep Guardiola is looking to reshuffle his options in between the sticks this season after Ederson fell down the pecking order, with boyhood City star James Trafford signed from Burnley for around £27million.
But Trafford has not enjoyed the best of starts back at the Etihad after making a costly error in the 2-0 loss against Tottenham last week and Guardiola admitted before the Brighton game he was still unsure about who his No 1 would be for the season.
Italy international Donnarumma has been strongly linked with a move to City after he himself lost his place under Luis Enrique after the arrival of Lucas Chevalier. He insisted he wanted "a different goalkeeping profile" and he is now desperate to secure an exit before deadline day.
Mirror Football understands that City bosses have now reached a full agreement with PSG to sign Donnarumma, who will become the club's new starting keeper.

That came after City agreed a deal with Fenerbahce worth up to £12m for Ederson, with personal terms said to be agreed after discussions between agent Jorge Mendes and club director Devin Ozek. The Brazilian is now traveling to Turkey for a medical.
Ederson is set to end his eight-year spell with City that has seen him win six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Donnarumma, who is now expected to complete a medical at City ahead of the 7pm deadline, is still considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world despite his predicament at PSG.
The 26-year-old won the Champions League with the French champions last season, adding to his impressive trophy cabinet that also includes one European Championship, one Italian Super Cup, four Ligue 1 titles and two French Cups.
He has made a total of 161 appearances for PSG since joining the club from AC Milan in 2021. Donnarumma appeared to say an emotional farewell to fans after appearing on the pitch following their 1-0 win over Angers last week.
He will significantly strengthen City's options in goal after Guardiola admitted he was undecided about his first choice goalkeeper.
When asked about his No 1 keeper, he replied: "All the clubs, before the international transfer window is closed, everything is possible. It’s as simple as that. After that, we’re going to play [Manchester] United and Champions League and Arsenal. After everything will be more clear and now we take a decision. It depends on the performance and it depends on many reasons."
