New Delhi: Thousands of X users across the world reported technical errors in the popular social media platform on Monday evening.
There were widespread disruptions in the US, the UK and India as users faced problems in loading feed, failed search results and accessing the social media app.
Downdetector, the website that tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources, showed a spike with 3,357 outage reports in India at 7.30 pm on Monday.
The Elon Musk-owned platform, previously known as Twitter, remained inaccessible for many over a period of time with 42,261 outage reports in the US, the UK and some other countries.
According to Downdetector, 53 per cent of the users reported glitches while using the X app, 22 per cent faced errors loading their feed, and another 16 per cent users encountered trouble with the website.
Services appear to be recovering gradually, but there was no immediate word from the social media platform on what triggered the latest disruption.
X experienced a similar outage in January.
Last November, a Cloudflare service outage had resulted in access problems and downtime for several websites, including X, affecting users across regions.
In March 2025, too, there were severe disruptions across many countries and regions.
