Political turmoil has intensified after Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha left Aam Aadmi Party. Meanwhile, former Aam Aadmi Party leader and famous poet Kumar Vishwas has made a sharp attack on his opponents by sharing a poem of heroic nature. While sharing his old poem again, Kumar Vishwas took a dig at the current political developments through the characters of Mahabharata. These lines of his have become a topic of discussion in political circles from Delhi to Punjab.
Kumar Vishwas re-posted these lines of his poem, Vidur’s post of Bhishma has not forgotten the tears, has not forgotten the difficult fast and the asceticism indicated by Drona, has hung a trumpet in the circle of crooked lakshyagrihas, but has not forgotten the fierce aim of the lion. These lines show the characters of Bhishma, Drona and Vidur and their struggle in the context of Mahabharata.
Vidur’s Bhishma’s verse ‘Ashru-prakshalan nahi bhakti’ – This line means that when Duryodhana had insulted Krishna, Vidur had sadly washed Krishna’s feet with his tears. These lines echoing from the social media handle of Kumar Vishwas have spread like wildfire in the political circles.
Raghav Chadha’s leaving Aam Aadmi Party is being considered a big political blow for Arvind Kejriwal. Kumar Vishwas has often accused Kejriwal of dictatorship and deception. Through this poem he has indicated that when a party moves away from its principles, its downfall is certain. Kumar Vishwas has been raising questions on Kejriwal’s leadership style for many years. At a time when the party needed unity the most, the departure of a young leader like Raghav Chadha is like a blow of the time cycle, which Kumar Vishwas had been warning about for a long time.
Apart from Raghav Chadha, the Rajya Sabha MPs of Aam Aadmi Party who have left the party include Sandeep Pathak, Vikramjit Singh Sahni, Ashok Mittal, Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta and Swati Maliwal. However, out of these, only four MPs including Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak have joined BJP.
