**Exam Date and Shift Timings**
The UPSSSC will examine on May 21, 2026, at designated examination centers across the state. The exam will be held in a single shift on a single day. The scheduled timing for the examination is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
**Steps to Download the Admit Card**
To download the UP Lekhpal admit card, first visit the official website.
On the website's homepage, click on the link titled "Lekhpal Main Examination (P.A.P.-2025)/01 Admit Card Download."
Next, enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Gender; then, enter the provided verification code and click on the 'Submit' button.
Subsequently, your admit card will appear on the screen, from where you can download it and take a printout.
**Exam Pattern**
Mathematics has been removed from the UP Lekhpal recruitment examination. This time, the question paper will consist of three sections. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions will be asked across these three sections. Each question carries 1 mark. There is also a provision for negative marking in this examination; for every incorrect answer, one-fourth (1/4) of a mark will be deducted. Therefore, candidates are advised to refrain from attempting questions for which they do not know the correct answer. A time duration of 2 hours will be allotted to complete the paper.
**Number of Vacancies**
The UPSSSC will fill a total of 7,994 vacant posts for the position of Lekhpal. Category-wise, out of these, 4,165 posts are reserved for the Unreserved category, 1,446 for Scheduled Castes, 150 for Scheduled Tribes, 1,441 for Other Backward Classes, and 792 for the Economically Weaker Sections. Out of the total posts, 1,592 posts will be separately reserved for female candidates.
