BAN vs AUS ODI : Bangladesh cricket team has created history. It has defeated the Australian cricket team in an ODI series for the first time. Today the second match of the three-match ODI series was played between Bangladesh and Australia. In this match interrupted by rain, Bangladesh cricket team defeated Australia by 5 wickets according to Duckworth Lewis rule. With this defeat, Australia has lost the ODI series to Bangladesh for the first time.


Bangladesh created history against Australia


In this match, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. This was one of the worst starts in the cricket history of the Australian cricket team and the team lost 3 wickets without scoring any runs. At one time the team’s score was 0/3. The Australian team had lost 6 wickets for 81 runs. After that, Marnus Labuschagne along with Xavier Bartlett saved the honor of Australia and the score reached 178 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 42 overs.


After this, under Duckworth Lewis Nimay, Bangladesh got the target of 192 runs to win in 41 overs. Bangladesh achieved this target by scoring 195 runs at the loss of 5 wickets with 36 balls i.e. 6 overs remaining and defeated the Australian team in the ODI series for the first time in the history of its cricket career.

The first blow to Australia came in the form of Matthew Short, who was sent to the pavilion on zero by Taskin Ahmed. The second blow came in the form of Cooper Connolly, who was sent back for a duck by Mustafizur Rahman and then Matt Renshaw also returned to the pavilion after being out on zero without opening the account. In this way, Australia’s first three wickets were out for ducks. After this, Marnus Labuschagne played an inning of 55 runs in 85 balls with the help of 3 fours. Whereas Xavier Bartlett played an inning of 52 runs in 48 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Apart from these two, Tauhid Hridayoy along with captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj (22) played an unbeaten inning of 40 runs and helped his team win by 5 wickets.



In 2005, Bangladesh created history by defeating Australia for the first time in Cardiff. Now they have rewritten history by defeating Australia for the first time in the bilateral ODI series. Another big win for Mehdi and Co. and it was only right that the captain scored the winning runs. He was always in control.
