Harry Brook currently the front-runner to succeed Ben Stokes as England's next Test captain But the talk over Brook's appointment has also sparked some views on social media.
Perhaps the most conversation-worthy reply was from Iceland Cricket, which continues to entertain on X. The viral post drew a stark reminder about Brook's off-field scandals last year while humorously sniping at his captaincy chances.
Brook has said in the past he would be willing to captain England should Stokes retire from test cricket.
Iceland Cricket's Viral Post Draws Attention
Everyone is well aware of the witty posts that Iceland Cricket has to offer on International cricket, and hence it had to remind us of Brook's potential selection.
The post alluded to incidents that supposedly took place in late 2025, when Brook is said to have been involved in a scuffle outside a nightclub in Wellington before the England vs New Zealand ODI.
The cricket board's official X account posted:
"Harry Brook ready to lead England in all three formats. That's nightclubs, beaches, and police stations."
The post grew arms and legs on social media in no time, followed by largely sarcastic responses from cricket lovers. Iceland Cricket has, over the years, established itself as a page that can get people talking every time it has a post.

Brook Ready to Lead England
Despite the debate raging on social media, Brook made his intentions clear and said he had the desire to captain England.
Ahead of the first T20I of the series versus India, the 27-year-old asserted that captaining your country in Test cricket is something very special.
Brook said:
"It isn't up to me, but if I were offered it, then I would be happy to take it. I don't know yet (if it will happen), but it would be a great honour to do it. It would be a privilege to captain England in the highest format of our game and the pinnacle."
Brook had also revealed that during the outgoing Skipper's final press conference, Ben Stokes had assured him of his full support to be the next England Test captain.
Meanwhile, although no named replacements for Stokes have been announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board, Brook will likely move into the squad as the primary candidate. He is also due to lead England in the first T20I against India at Chester-le-Street.
