On this occasion, Chief Justice Suryakant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. S. Mohana’s bench heard the petition. The petition filed by advocate Ajay Kumar Rai, advocate Dinesh Kumar Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Sudhakar Singh was listed for hearing by the Supreme Court. The court had earlier rejected the petition seeking an urgent hearing. The petition sought an inquiry by a committee under the supervision of the CBI to determine whether there was any embezzlement, financial irregularities or corruption.
