Ayodhya Ram Mandir News Marathi : The Supreme Court today (July 13, 2026) heard a petition seeking an inquiry into irregularities in donations to the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. On this occasion, Chief Justice Suryakant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. S. Mohana’s bench heard the petition. The next hearing will be held on Monday, July 20. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing the case.


The petition filed by advocate Ajay Kumar Rai, advocate Dinesh Kumar Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Sudhakar Singh was listed for hearing by the Supreme Court. The court had earlier rejected the petition seeking an urgent hearing. The petition sought an inquiry by a committee under the supervision of the CBI to determine whether there was any embezzlement, financial irregularities or corruption.

Official sources made the announcement on Sunday. Following allegations of alleged misappropriation of items offered to the Ram temple, the Uttar Pradesh government on June 13 set up a three-member SIT headed by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant on the request of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.


Report submitted to State Govt


By the SIT A preliminary investigation report was submitted to the state government on June 23, which Pant handed over to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad. At that time, Pant had said that the investigation is on and the final report will be submitted after the completion of the further investigation. On July 1, the state government extended the tenure of the SIT by 15 days to complete the investigation. According to sources, as part of the probe, the SIT may return to Ayodhya to examine additional documents and interrogate officials of the trust and others to the donation management system.
