Pune: Industrial The General Meeting of the Sports Association was held on Friday, 11th July 2026 at “Kapila Business Hotel” Dhole Patil Road Pune-1 at 7.30 PM. Players, representatives and representatives of various companies in the labor sector of Pimpri-Chinchwad, Chakan, Talegaon, Pune attended this meeting. Sports Various dignitaries of the field were present.

The prize distribution ceremony was moderated by Datta Shelke, introduction, review of previous year and reading of financial report by Pradeep Wagh. The chief guest Anup Kumar (Additional General Manager Ammunition Factory) was felicitated by the association’s president golf player Rajendra Nageshkar, vice president Narendra Kadam, secretary Vasant Thombare with shawls, flowers, bouquets and badges of honour.

In the 2025-26 competition, Tata Motors bagged the overall title with 31 points and Bajaj Auto Akurdi team bagged the runner-up position with 27 points. From Tata Motors, Tata Motors Sports Committee Chairman Shashikant Katre and Tata Motors HR and Sports Manager Nitin Kadam and from Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Auto HR and Sports Manager Atul Kalokhe from Anup Kumar, Rajendra Nageshkar and Vasant Thombare. The runner-up trophy was accepted. On the same occasion, the sports schedule of the institute for 2026-27 was announced.

Responding to the felicitation, Anup Kumar said that “Sports hobby relieves a person from mental stress and increases energy; therefore, a person should play sports regularly. I am very happy that the 62-year-old Industrial Sports Association is providing an opportunity to sportsmen in the workforce. Rajendra Nageshkar, president of the association said that in 2025-26, nearly 250 companies, over 2500 athletes participated in 14 events in the association’s competitions. The scope should be widened and more women players should be involved in it. It is noteworthy that this year the game “Women’s Cricket and Passing Volleyball” was started for the first time.
