This seven episode series is directed by Himank Gaur. It is created and executive produced by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under the banner of Posham Pa Pictures. The story and screenplay of the series is written by Biswapati Sarkar, Akshay Asthana, Nupur Pai, Tatsat Pandey and Meghna Srivastava. Along with him, Archana Puran Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni and Prachi Shah will also be seen in lead roles. ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’ will premiere on July 24 exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi with English subtitles in over 240 countries and territories across the world including India.
The trailer opens the doors to ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’—a school where rules are flexible, every character is unique and every day brings something new. At the center of the story is Dnyaneshwar Tripathi (KK Menon), a fun-loving principal who, with his wisdom and unique methods, keeps the school afloat amidst all the difficulties. But everything changes when they learn that the headmasters of the 10 schools with the best results in Delhi’s board exams will get an opportunity to attend a training program in Cambridge on behalf of the government. They then have to deal with a variety of teachers, enthusiastic students, overzealous parents, and a constant stream of unexpected situations. The trailer promises a journey full of entertainment and memorable moments. Now the question is whether Dnyaneshwar will be able to include ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’ among the best schools of Delhi, or will the chaos there outweigh him?
Himank Gaur, Director, Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya said, “A large part of what you will see in Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya is based on the school memories we all have—the friendships, the pranks, the teachers and those everyday moments that stay with us long after we leave school. What made this journey even more special was that we got the opportunity to bring the vision of Biswapati and Sameer on screen. In this work K. Of. Menon, Archana Puran Singh, the entire ensemble cast and the talented young actors brought energy and realism to every scene. Prime Video has been a great creative partner throughout the journey and supported our vision every step of the way. I am confident that this is a series that audiences of all ages will enjoy. I am eagerly waiting for the moment when audiences in India and across the world will experience it on 24th July.”
Kay Kay Menon, who plays the character of Dnyaneshwar Tripathi in the series, said, “Over the years, I have had the opportunity to play many different characters like an intelligence officer, a politician and a criminal, but I have never played the role of a headmaster before. When I read the script for the first time, it immediately caught my attention. Also, the character of Dnyaneshwar felt special because he is very real and relatable. He is not perfect, he has many flaws, but He is quick-witted and knows how to turn every situation in his favor, which makes him very human. Bringing this character like Dnyanesh to life on screen would not have been possible without the brilliant support of my co-stars like ‘Ferzi’ and ‘Citadel’. It is completely different from my previous works like ‘Honey Bunny’. I am grateful to Prime Video for supporting such stories and characters which give the artistes the opportunity to experiment and play different roles.”
Archana Puran Singh, playing the role of Urmila Devi in ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’, said, “What I found most special about ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’ is its very lively and impactful writing. It is a story full of humour, emotions and characters who feel completely real. My character Urmila Devi is outspoken, confident, extremely ambitious, she has no hesitation in being who she is, so it is very fun to play this character. I especially loved the interesting chemistry between Urmila and Dnyaneshwar and it has been a great experience sharing the screen with KK Menon. Now I am looking forward to the premiere of the series on 24th July to meet Urmila Devi and be a part of the world of ‘Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya’.”
