Dharmendra Pradhan tendered his resignation amid the students’ protests over the NEET paper leak. The CJP called off the demonstrations following the Education Minister’s departure. Pradhan was under pressure after the protests had started across the country after the  NEET-UGC 2026 paper leak controversy. Dinesh Karthik took to social media and wrote:

“At the end of the day, we’re all working towards a better India. The clarity, collaboration and relentlessness of the younger generation is something that I’m extremely in awe of. The future is bright, and the next generation is going to take us to new heights. Jai Hind.”

Karthik is one of the commentators in The Hundred 2026. He regularly features in the commentary box and is lauded by fans for his insights and knowledge about the game. Karthik is working as a mentor and batting coach of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League. The team has won two consecutive titles so far.

Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Shubman Gill, Sanjay Manjrekar and Shikhar Dhawan reacted to the protests.

“I stand in solidarity with the youth of India. Do not suppress them, give them wings. They will take India to new heights.This isn’t just about NEET paper leaks. It’s a revolt against feeling generally suppressed in a democracy & the mainstream media’s brainwashing. As a father of two, I know first hand: suppressing & brainwashing today’s youth will never work,” wrote Manjrekar on X.

“My father was a professor,” Sachin wrote on X. “He was a mentor and guide to many young students. One lesson that he instilled early on was, ‘Failure is okay, cheating is not. Never take shortcuts.’ As adults in society, we have the responsibility of shaping culture. A society which prioritises outcomes over effort will seek shortcuts over meritocracy. Today, when students feel disappointed that their hard work hasn’t been rewarded, it is understandable,” he mentioned.

“Collectively, we should all work together towards ensuring they don’t feel this way again,” Tendulkar added.

“Young India is full of dreams and energy. They are the fuel to our success. As a society, all of us, including parents, teachers, friends, relatives, schools, and administrators, have a massive responsibility and different roles to play in ensuring our youth remain encouraged and energised. We must create a culture where hard work is rewarded, honesty is encouraged, and merit wins. I am certain we will all find solutions that strengthen our children’s future and safeguard their aspirations.”

“As a young Indian, I believe our generation deserves every opportunity to learn, dream and shape the future we all aspire to. I have immense respect for every young person who believes in making their voice heard peacefully. Education has the power to shape our nation’s future. I hope we move forward with compassion, mutual respect, and keeping the best interests of every student at heart,” Gill wrote.

“Our youth are the future of our nation. It is essential to understand their dreams, but at the same time, it is equally important to maintain patience in difficult times and keep faith in the country’s institutions and government,” said Dhawan.

“I believe that the solution to every challenge emerges with patience. India has always moved forward and will continue to progress,” he added.

“To every child, student, woman and man: you deserve the opportunity to learn in peace, grow with safety, and chase your dreams”, Yuvraj wrote on Instagram.

“Your well-being is the foundation of a brighter India.

“Let’s come together to build communities of care, opportunity and hope.

“Through dialogue we can find an amicable solution for the sake of India’s future”, he added.
