SLXI vs IND Warm-Up Match: Today, the first innings of the 3-day practice match between India and Sri Lanka XI went completely in favour of the visiting team. In this warm-up match, the bowlers of the Indian cricket team gave away a lot of runs and initially seemed desperate to take wickets. This was the condition of the Indian bowlers when they were not facing the main Sri Lankan batsmen. These were the batsmen who regularly play domestic cricket and are not a part of the main Sri Lankan team. In such a situation, these batsmen also thrashed the Indian batting line-up and exposed their full strength.
By the end of the first day’s play, the Indian bowlers had restricted Sri Lanka XI to 363 runs in 90 overs, taking just 8 wickets. Let’s find out which Indian bowlers conceded how many runs in the warm-up match between India and Sri Lanka XI.
1 – Kuldeep Yadav – Kuldeep Yadav proved to be the most expensive batsman for the Indian cricket team on the first day, conceding the most runs but also taking two wickets. He conceded 76 runs in 18 overs on the first day and dismissed just two batsmen.
2 – Ravindra Jadeja – Ravindra Jadeja finished second on the list of bowlers who conceded the most runs on the first day for Team India. However, he also took two wickets. Jadeja bowled a total of 15 overs on the first day and dismissed two Sri Lankan XI batsmen for 64 runs.
3 – Saransh Jain – Debutant off-spinner Saransh Jain finished third on the list of Indian bowlers with the most runs conceded. Jain conceded 54 runs in 11 overs and went wicketless.
4 – Gurnur Brar – Gurnur Brar was India’s fourth-highest run-consumption bowler on the first day against Sri Lanka XI. He bowled 12 overs and took just one wicket for 49 runs.
5 – Mohammed Siraj – Experienced Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj finished fifth on the list of highest run-consumption bowlers, going wicketless. He conceded a total of 44 runs in 13 overs.
6 – Prasidh Krishna – Prasidh Krishna was the sixth-highest run-scorer against Sri Lanka XI on Day 1. He conceded 32 runs in 8 overs and went wicketless.
7 – Manav Suthar – Manav Suthar conceded the least runs for India on the first day of this match. He also dismissed two players. Suthar conceded 33 runs in 13 overs and took two wickets.
Top scorers for Sri Lanka XI were Nishan Madushanka (66 off 65 balls), Pasindu Suriyabandara (35 off 63), Ravindra Rasantha (71 off 143) and captain Sonal Dinusha (52). Sri Lanka have two wickets in hand; India will want to take them early on the second day of the match to give themselves a chance to bat.
