Bankura. The case of the death of the father of a CJP volunteer in Bankura district of West Bengal has gained political significance. On Monday, party leader Ashutosh Ranka along with his colleagues from Delhi reached Karishunda village of Indas and met the family of the deceased. He gave an ultimatum of 10 days to the state government and demanded the arrest of all the accused and strict legal action against them.


'All the accused should be arrested within 10 days'-
After meeting the deceased's son Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, Ashutosh Ranka said that the government should arrest all the accused in the case and send them to jail within 10 days. He also demanded imposition of necessary legal sections against the accused.


Ranka also raised the demand for a court-monitored inquiry into the role of the policemen posted at Indas police station. They allege that the police administration did not provide adequate assistance to the victim's family after the incident.


Demand for school in father's name instead of compensation-
According to Ranka, the family of the deceased has refused to accept government compensation. On behalf of the family, there has been a demand to build an international level school at the same place in the memory of the father.


Abdul Hafiz said that the school being built in his father's name will be a true tribute to him and can become a new model of connecting people on the issue of education.


CJP announced 'Fix the School' campaign-
Ashutosh Ranka said that CJP will now provide financial help to Hafiz. The party has also announced to run 'Fix the Schools' campaign in West Bengal.


He warned that if the accused were not arrested within 10 days and action was not taken on other demands, the district administration office would be gheraoed. After this, warning of a big movement was also given.


Eight people arrested after the incident-
It is reported that the victim, Mr. Mafiq, died on Saturday night at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, two days after the alleged attack. He was first taken to Indas Block Primary Health Center in critical condition, from where he was referred to Burdwan Medical College on August 15 when his condition deteriorated.


Police have informed that eight people have been arrested so far in the case. However, the round of political allegations and counter-allegations continues regarding the incident.


Accusations were also made against BJP-
CPI(M) leader Shatarup Ghosh also met the victim's family and raised questions on the BJP and its state leadership over the incident. He alleged that people associated with BJP were involved in the attack.


At the same time, BJP has denied any organizational connection with the incident. The political conflict in West Bengal regarding the matter has intensified.
