Giving a big treat to lakhs of passengers traveling between Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, Indian Railways has decided to start Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur Amrit Bharat Express (Train No. 19423/19424). The special train, earlier running between Ahmedabad and Patna, has now been extended to Silk City Bhagalpur and will be operated as a regular weekly service with modern and economical Amrit Bharat rakes. This new train will not only ease the travel of common passengers, migrants and businessmen, but will also provide direct and comfortable connectivity to thousands of students of Bihar studying in Kota. Train No. 19423 (Ahmedabad to Bhagalpur): This train will depart from Ahmedabad Junction at 06:30 pm every Wednesday. En route, it will reach Bhagalpur Junction at 06:40 am on Friday via Ratlam, Kota (03:35 am on Thursday), Prayagraj and Patna. Train No. 19424 (Bhagalpur to Ahmedabad): In the return direction, this train will depart from Bhagalpur every Friday at 04:45 pm. Next day it will reach Kota at 06:05 pm on Saturday and Ahmedabad Junction at 05:25 am on Sunday. Distance and travel time: This train will cover the distance of 1,976 kilometers between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur in approximately 36 hours 10 minutes. Route and Stoppages at Major Stations: This Amrit Bharat Express will stop at more than 27 important stations in 5 major states (Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar): Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh: Anand, Chhayapuri (Vadodara), Godhra, Dahod and Ratlam Junction. Rajasthan: Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota Junction, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City and Bayana. Uttar Pradesh: Idgah Agra, Tundla, Govindpuri (Kanpur), Subedarganj (Prayagraj) and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction (DDU). Bihar: Bhagalpur via Buxar, Arrah, Danapur, Patna Junction, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Kiul, Abhaypur, Jamalpur and Sultanganj. Coach Composition and Modern Facilities Amrit Bharat Express is a completely non-AC train but equipped with state-of-the-art Push-Pull technology. A total of 22 LHB coaches will be installed in this train: Sleeper Class (Second Class Sleeper): 11 Coaches General Class (Unreserved General Class): 08 Coaches Pantry Car: 01 Coach Divyangjan cum Guard Luggage Vehicle: 02 Coaches. For the convenience of passengers, this train has ergonomic comfortable seats, zero-jerk semi-permanent coupler, mobile charging points, modern bio-toilets, foldable Snack tables and advanced facilities like CCTV cameras and sensor-based water taps for security have been provided. Traders, workers and students will get huge benefits. Gujarat's textile and diamond industry is dependent on lakhs of skilled artisans and workers from Bihar and Purvanchal. During festival and holiday seasons, regular trains on this route (like Sabarmati Express or Surat-Bhagalpur Express) have long waiting lists.
