Delhi Weather: On Monday i.e. this morning, there was heavy rain in the capital Delhi-NCR, due to which many places were flooded, while the rainy season is still going on. Traffic came to a standstill and air travel was affected throughout the National Capital Region. Heavy rains submerged major traffic routes and public infrastructure; Zakira Underpass, Connaught Place parking and roads in Sangam Vihar, Durga Vihar and areas below Shivaji Bridge were quickly filled with water.

The impact of this problem extended beyond the municipal limits of Delhi to the big urban areas of the National Capital Region (NCR). In Noida, Ghaziabad and Sector 46 of Gurugram, traffic speed was very slow and roads remained submerged in water. The bad weather also affected air services, due to which air traffic controllers had to divert 12 flights coming to Delhi and send them to Jaipur.

There is a possibility of very light to light rain in many areas from morning to afternoon and similar conditions may persist till evening also. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 25 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi on 26th and 27th August also.
