The run to the 2026 NBA Finals established the San Antonio Spurs as one of the most fascinating teams in basketball. Speaking to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints during the NBA 2K27 Community Day in Los Angeles, Castle discussed everything from his love of gaming to the historic cover featuring his teammate The animal (who recently went head-to-head with Jokic with their national teams).

Asked about the new features in NBA 2K27, particularly the introduction of different Eras in MyCareer, Castle admitted that he would love to experience the physicality of basketball from the past:
