Patna. Bihar government is digitalizing the fertilizer sales system to provide fertilizers to the farmers on time and in the right manner. Under this, online system has been developed through Framework for Fertilizer Application System (FFAS).


Earlier, as a pilot project, fertilizer sales on the basis of Farmer ID were started in Vaishali and Sheikhpura. After its success, this system has now been implemented in Jehanabad, Arwal, Sheohar, Lakhisarai and Kishanganj also.


Officers will get special training


In the training program organized at Krishi Bhawan in Patna, the concerned officers will be given information about digital fertilizer sales system, availability and distribution system of fertilizers. Its objective is to easily deliver quality fertilizers and seeds to the farmers.


According to Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, with the integration of IFMS and AgriStack, the purchase and sale process of fertilizers is being made more transparent and systematic. The government believes that the digital system will lead to better monitoring of fertilizer distribution and will facilitate farmers in getting fertilizer at the time of need. The scope of this system can be further expanded in the coming time.
