Christopher Briney has commented on the upcoming The Summer I Turned Pretty movie.
The actor is returning as Conrad Fisher for the upcoming movie after the global success of the series.
The 28-year-old spoke about the fan-favourite series and reflected on what the franchise has meant to him and his co-stars.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said he tries to approach every project by focusing on the story and characters rather than worrying about how audiences will respond.
“I try to go into everything with the notion that we are doing it for ourselves,” he said.
“Because I think if you go into a job trying to service somebody else, you’re doing a disservice to the project and the characters and the story.”
He acknowledged that he and his co-stars have spent a significant amount of time immersed in the world of the Fishers.
“So yeah, I hope people like it, but I think that we just buckled down and got it done,” he said.
The actor added that he is “grateful for all the things that it’s brought to all of us and the people involved.”
Meanwhile, he is also starring in The Julia Seta coming-of-age story led by Chase Infiniti.
