Patna : Rural development department minister Shrawan Kumar on Sunday indicated a possible thaw in the strained relations between JD(U)’s Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh and party MLC Neeraj Kumar .
Neeraj, a three-time MLC and the party’s chief state spokesman, is set to file his nomination from the Patna graduate constituency for a fourth term. Anant had announced he would campaign against him and support another candidate, triggering a public spat.
Asked about the dispute, Shrawan said, “Once the time comes, everything will be resolved and all disputes will be over.”
On the message being sent out by the dispute, he added, “Haven’t you heard about what Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh said on Saturday. He said that internal democracy prevails in the party, and there is no difference in it. All will sit together and everything will be resolved in time.”
Both Anant and Neeraj refrained from attacking each other on Sunday. JD(U) general secretary Shyam Rajak said, “The problem will be resolved and Neeraj will win the election this time, too.”
