In athletics, Tejinderpal Singh Toor won silver medal in shot put event. He performed brilliantly and added another silver to India's medal tally. Even before this he has won a medal for India in the Asian Games.
Sawan Barwal performed brilliantly and won the silver medal in the men's marathon. He also created a new national record during this period.
