New Delhi, 27 September 2026: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of torrential rain and lightning in Uttarakhand today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh also.

The department has said that there is a possibility of rain in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Central Pradesh also. There is also a possibility of lightning in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab.

A similar situation is likely to prevail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Telangana. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
