Dhanbad : Two days after 16-year-old Sonakshi Kumari , who was swept away by the Damodar river on Friday while on a visit to her maternal grandparents’ house at Sudamdih village for Jitiya festival , her body was found near Sindri Basti , police said on Sunday.

Sonakshi, a resident of Ara in Bihar , had gone to the river to bathe with family members on the occasion of Nahai-Khai , which marks the beginning of the Jitiya festival.
