Pakuria, Pakur, Jharkhand:- With the arrival of Shardiya Navratri, a wave of excitement and enthusiasm has started appearing in Pakuria block. Amidst the natural beauty, the blooming flowers of Kasa are giving the message of the arrival of Maa Durga. Preparations for Durga Puja have gained momentum in remote rural areas including the block headquarters.

After Pitru Visarjan on 10th October, Shardiya Navratri will start from 11th October with Pratipada of Ashwin Shukla Paksha. On the first day of Navratri, devotees are busy preparing to install Kalash in their homes to worship Goddess Shailputri.

The work of attractive decoration for puja is going on at a fast pace in about 20 Durga temples of the block including Pakudiya. At the same time, sculptors are working day and night to give a grand and divine look to the idols of Maa Durga. The hustle and bustle has also increased in Pakuria market regarding the puja. Special enthusiasm is being seen especially among children regarding the festival.

The civil and police administration is also fully alert to ensure that Durga Puja is conducted in a peaceful and harmonious environment. Necessary preparations are being made by the administration regarding security and law and order.
