Students in Leo households get an auspicious start this Friday. Saraswati Avahan, the invocation of the goddess of learning, takes place when the Moon enters Mula nakshatra during Navratri, and that happens today. The Moon sits in Mula in Sagittarius, your fifth house of education. Ashtama Shani in Pisces still asks for care, but the day's focus is on books.

Saraswati Avahan on MulaIn many homes, people invoke Saraswati into books and instruments on this day. They are worshipped through the coming days, and study resumes on Vijayadashami.

Place your child's textbooks and a pen at the altar. Offer a white cloth and some puffed rice to the goddess.

Moon in the Fifth Under Shani's GazeWith the Moon in your fifth, learning feels meaningful today. Shani, from your eighth, reaches Sagittarius with its tenth glance, so progress comes through steady revision rather than bursts. Set a daily hour for the hardest subject.

Mula, ruled by Ketu, rewards deep study of one topic. Ketu also sits on your lagna, which can make focus drift. Keep the phone outside the study room.

Jupiter, Lord of Your FifthJupiter rules your fifth house and sits exalted in Cancer, your twelfth. Its blessing reaches students living away from home or preparing for exams abroad.

Debilitated Mars beside Jupiter may push up fees or travel costs. Plan the budget early.

Communication Skills in the ThirdMercury and retrograde Venus in your third favour writing practice and language learning. Revisit old notebooks.

Mercury begins reversing on 24 October, so submit scholarship applications before then.
