There’s an active recall on popular Great Value items sold in Walmart bakeries nationwide, according to the Food and Drug Administration. This is due to pieces of plastic being found in the affected products.

The following two Walmart bakery items are impacted by this recall:

• Great Value Cheese Danish sold in 16.5-ounce containers with a printed UPC of 078742201177.


• Great Value Cinnamon Rolls sold in 16.5-ounce containers with a printed UPC of 078742201160.

Both of these products display a printed lot number L092525200 269X. Approximately 24,324 cheese Danish products and 19,224 cinnamon roll products are affected by this recall. While the recalled pastries were sold prior to November 1, they may still be in consumers’ kitchens, refrigerators or freezers.

Check your bakery items as soon as possible, and if they match the recall information, return them to your local Walmart for a refund. This week, this recall was categorized as a Class II recall, meaning that eating the recalled product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.” If you believe you are experiencing any injuries or illnesses after consuming a recalled product, talk to your health care provider immediately.
