Officials in Catanduanes warned that power outages could last for months due to extensive damage to utility poles. In Baler, a coastal city in Aurora province, local authorities and residents are working to clear fallen trees, debris, and blocked roads and waterways.

Typhoon Man-yi significantly weakened as it moved through the mountainous region of Luzon, transitioning into a tropical depression as it crossed the East Sea and headed toward Vietnam on Monday.

Over the past few weeks, five typhoons have left at least 163 dead, displaced thousands, and caused widespread destruction of crops and livestock in the Philippines. Several provinces have declared states of calamity due to the extensive damage.
