A new teaser for Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India’s first electric scooter has been revealed. Prior to the e-scooter’s debut next week, the Japanese two-wheeler company has posted four teasers on its social media accounts. According to the latest teaser, Honda’s e-scooter for India would include two detachable batteries. The CUV e-electric scooter, which Honda debuted at EICMA 2024, also has this function.
The headlight, seat, and electric motor of the electric scooter were seen in a previous Honda teaser. The dashboard has also been teased by the brand. The instrument cluster on Honda’s next electric scooter will be entirely digital. The display will provide comprehensive readouts for the trip meter, battery SOC, range, and current speed. Honda’s e-scooter will feature two riding modes, according to the instrument cluster teaser.
The new electric scooter from Honda, maybe called the eActiva or Activa Electric, would probably come in two different trim levels. The lesser trim will have a basic LCD panel, while the higher trim will have the larger digital instrument cluster described above. With the current riding mode, the smaller screen will provide readouts for the battery SOC, trip meter reading, and speed. With a single charge, the Honda e-scooter will have a range of over 100 kilometers.
In India, Honda is the last mass-market two-wheeler manufacturer to provide an electric scooter. E-scooters were first launched by Bajaj, TVS, and Hero a long time ago. Ather is one of the new brands that have joined the market. How the Honda electric two-wheeler is welcomed in India is still up in the air.
