Former TNA and WWE Women's Champion Mickie James has hinted that she could return to the wrestling ring for one last match. James, who has not wrestled since September this year, suggested that she was open to the possibility of returning to TNA or WWE one last time.

“I think we might could make that happen…” James said on Twitter while responding to a fan who said that he wanted to see her have one more match in WWE or TNA.

Where is Mickie James

James, who is currently the Creative Director of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), which acted as the developmental territory of both WWE and TNA in the past, has not been an active competitor since 2023, except for a handful of independent appearances.

The 45-year-old's last full-time run was in TNA from 2021 to 2023, where she also started her career.

Mickie James's two decades in wrestling

James made her TNA debut in 2003, and after a short-lived stint there, she was signed by WWE as a developmental talent for OVW.

James made her WWE debut in 2005, playing the role of an obsessed fan of the then Women's Champion Trish Stratus.

In her two-decade-long career, James has won several accolades, including winning the TNA Knockouts World Championship and WWE Women's Championship five times and the WWE Divas Championship once.

Garbage bag incident

Despite her accomplishments in the ring, James's 2021 release by WWE had made headlines for all the wrong reasons. This was after WWE sent her belongings wrapped in a trash bag. The move resulted in a massive uproar online from both wrestlers and fans, forcing Triple H to apologise to her.
