Jaunpur.The villagers of Saraiyan village of Dharmapur block area filed an application and complained to the DM, accusing the Consolidation Department of arbitrariness in the ongoing consolidation of the village.

Villagers of Saraiyan village of Dharmapur block area met DM Dr. Dinesh Chandra on Wednesday and accused Consolidation Officer Kirtapur Ramji Shukla of arbitrariness.

Prabhat Rai, Ravi Prakash Rai, Neeraj Rai, Ashutosh Rai, Satish Rai, Shiv Rai of the village gave an application and complained to the DM that at present the consolidation process is going on in the village. While many farmers' opportunities are being arbitrarily taken away, many people's opportunities are being diverted from one place to another.

The villagers alleged that the Consolidation Officers work under the pressure of two-three influential persons of Kirtapur village, who are close to a minister of the district. In such a situation, there is a situation of dispute in the village.

Every day the farmers are circling the district headquarters. A lot of trouble remains. In such a situation, a demand was made to send a competent officer to the village and listen to the problems of the villagers.

The DM called ASSO Swatantra Veer Singh and Consolidation Officer Ramji Shukla to his office on the spot and obtained information about the matter. And gave strict instructions that no tenant should be wronged in any case. The DM assured the villagers that the consolidation process would be done in a fair manner.

Satish Rai, Ravi Prakash Rai, Sanjay Rai, Shiv Rai, Ramchandra, Prabhat Rai, Ashutosh Rai etc. were present on this occasion.
