"Cancer is affecting millions of people across the globe, but chemotherapy and surgical treatments have their limitations," said Professor Debpratim Das of the Department of Chemistry, IIT-Guwahati. It is not always possible to remove the tumor through surgery, especially for internal organs. At the same time, chemotherapy has an effect on both cancerous and healthy cells," he said, adding that the use of this hydrogel can solve these problems.
