AR Murugadoss' last release was Rajinikanth starrer Darbar (2020). It was a flop at the box office, and then the filmmaker took a break before announcing his Hindi directorial comeback Sikandar which stars Salman Khan in the lead role. Sikandar is slated to release on Eid this year, and last year, on the superstar's birthday, the makers had shared a glimpse of the film. Now, the filmmaker is all set to team up with Sivakarthikeyan for a Tamil film titled Madharasi. The reason is that they want Murugadoss to concentrate on Sikandar, and as the the Salman starrer is near to its release, they are expecting a new asset of the film to be out soon. Sikandar, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal, is slated to release on Eid this year which means the movie is just a few weeks away from it release. Salman Khan's last few films have failed to make a mark at the box office, but with Sikandar, everyone is expecting that he will make a big comeback. Talking about Madharasi, while it is a Tamil film, the movie will be dubbed and released in multiple languages including Hindi. So, it is a pan-India film.
