The Traitors US season 3 is in full swing, with a new group of reality stars arriving in the Scottish Highlands for a wicked game of treachery.

The series has already seen its fair share of drama. "Boston" Rob Mariano flipped the game on its head when he turned on fellow traitor Bob the Drag Queen, before getting banished just a few episodes later.

Rob's fellow gamers Wes Bergmann and Derrick Levasseur were onto his deception from the get-go, quickly cementing their views at the round table - though sadly, we all know how that ended for them.

Alongside the drama in the Traitors' turret, several of this year's players already know each other from the outside , and not all of them are on good terms.

Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause was fuming after seeing Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval, as she's good friends with his ex, Ariana Madix. However, it was another pair's frosty encounter that got everyone talking.

Danielle Reyes, who was chosen to be a traitor by host Alan Cumming, made it very clear that she wasn't pleased to be reunited with Britney Haynes after she "hurt" her.

"I'm trying to have my most congenial face on when I see Danielle Reyes, and my stomach drops," Britney said in episode one. "I gave her the boot on , and she did not take it well. I certainly don't need an adversary or an enemy in this castle."

Before the game began, Britney sincerely apologised to Danielle, who tearfully accepted. But later on, Danielle admitted that while she can "forgive" Britney, she "will not forget". So, what really happened between the pair on Big Brother? Let's break it down.

Danielle rose to fame on the third season of Big Brother US in 2002, where she came in second place behind winner Lisa Donahue. Danielle returned to the infamous house for the show's first All-Stars edition four years later and was evicted in sixth place.

Meanwhile, Britney made her mark on season 12, which aired in 2010. She quickly became a fan favourite after her diary room confessions left viewers in stitches. Things didn't end well for Britney, however, as she was blindsided by a secret alliance, resulting in her eviction just before the final. The star then returned to Big Brother two seasons later, where she finished in eighth place.

Britney and Danielle first competed against each other in Big Brother's 2023 Christmas-themed spin-off Reindeer Games. The pair quickly started working together, forming a women's alliance, but this partnership was soon shattered.

In episode three, the players were tasked with completing a puzzle during Santa's Showdown elimination challenge. The game featured a knock-out format; if you successfully completed the puzzle within the time, you would be safe. But as the game progressed, players would have less time to secure their safety.

As the time started running out, the group were convinced that the next person to go in would most likely be sent home. Both Britney and Danielle begged their fellow players not to send them in, as they didn't have a good track record with Big Brother challenges. However, Britney was chosen to go in by Xavier Prather - who had secretly aligned with Danielle.

Britney surprised herself by completing the puzzle and left viewers gobsmacked after choosing a reluctant Danielle to go in next, despite Taylor Hale volunteering himself. Despite giving her all in the challenge, Danielle lost by a few seconds and was immediately eliminated.

After her exit, Danielle spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how "taken aback" she felt after learning Britney's decision, saying: "She was my person. The person that I was wanting to go to the finals with was Britney. And so when she put me in, it was very shocking.

"So, I think that's probably why I didn't do so well in the comp, because I couldn't get my head around that this friend of mine put me in this game knowing that I was not going to come back."

Britney added: "It was not always going to be Danielle. However, Danielle was on my radar as far as I did not trust that she was really working with me and the girls' alliance as much as I thought she was working with that four-person alliance."

It seems that the pair have let bygones be bygones, forming a close friendship in ' castle - even though Britney isn't aware that Danielle is a traitor herself. After not making the final of Big Brother together, will they do one better this time around?
