New Delhi: At his Delhi home, Union Minister and West Bengal President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sukanta Majumdar, engaged with West Bengal MLAs. Regarding the recent explosion in Dhola, West Bengal, Majumdar wrote to Union Minister Amit Shah on April 1st, requesting prompt action to guarantee that those responsible bear the “full weight” of the law.
According to Majumdar’s letter, there are indications that the explosion may have been intentional and that it happened in an illicit bomb-making plant that was protected by “political” means.
“With reference to the recent explosion in Dhola, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, I am writing to convey my deep worry. This unfortunate incident, which is said to have taken place in an ‘illegal firework factory,’ has left more than six people dead, according to local media. But there are hints that it could have been a planned explosion at a covert bomb-making plant that was protected politically,” Majumdar, the Minister of State for Education, said.
“This incident is part of a concerning trend; Bengal has seen a significant rise in illegal arms and explosives incidents, posing severe threats to national security and public safety,” the West Bengal BJP president continued, urging Shah to order the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to carry out a thorough investigation into the explosion.
He emphasized the significance of figuring out where these bombs came from.
In order to carry out a thorough investigation into this incident, I implore your esteemed office to commission the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Determining the source of these explosives, prosecuting those guilty, and dismantling any networks engaged in illegal weapons and bomb fabrication are critical,” Majumdar’s letter said.
He said that unbridled extremism and lawlessness are problems in West Bengal. “Its citizens should live in a safe atmosphere free from criminal dangers that are politically veiled.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari stated on Tuesday that an alleged explosion in Patharpratima, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, resulted in up to six fatalities and numerous injuries.”
