Tommy Fleetwood enjoyed an unforgettable 2025 and had caddie Ian Finnis by his side. The fan favourite finally ended his wait for a PGA title last year before helping steer Team Europe to Ryder Cup glory.

Despite being one of the world's top golfers, Fleetwood had claimed the somewhat unfortunate honour of being the player to have earned the most without a PGA Tour victory. A series of strong displays and multiple near misses saw his career prize money surpass £18.5million before his first win. The 34-year-old's luck finally changed at the Tour Championship in August, clinching the title by three strokes and pocketing an eye-watering £7.4m in winnings. His caddie, Finnis, also earned a huge windfall as Fleetwood ended his wait for silverware.

The general rule within the sport is that caddies take a 10 per cent cut of their player's earnings. Although the exact agreement between Fleetwood and Finnis is unknown, the bagman could have earned around £750,000 of the £7.4m grand prize in Atlanta, Georgia.

The pair have worked together since 2016 and had a year to savour in 2025. Fleetwood and his fellow Team Europe stars were not paid for their heroic Ryder Cup efforts at Bethpage Black in September, though the English golfer still had a lucrative 12 months.

Prior to his Tour Championship win, Fleetwood earned a £1.31m payday after tying for second at the Travelers Championship in June. He also received approximately £860,000 for his T3 finish at the St Jude Championship in August.

Following career highlight moments at the Tour Championship and Ryder Cup, Fleetwood claimed another victory at the DP World India Championship. In total, Fleetwood earned £13.7m in PGA prize money, meaning Finnis is likely to have received around £1.3m as his caddie.

However, Golf Monthly reports Fleetwood's earnings to be around £18.9m when factoring in bonus payments and his performances on the DP World Tour, having finished joint-third in the year-long standings. Similarly, Finnis' annual earnings would increase to around £1.9m.

Fleetwood was without Finnis for a portion of 2024 after his caddie underwent open-heart surgery. Upon his return later in the year, Fleetwood shared what it meant to be reunited on the golf course.

"It feels nice to have had a really good round in his first week, for him more than anything. It's been great. Felt so normal," Fleetwood said. "We did a great job. Everything sort of flowed, really, today. He made a couple of great decisions, so it's like he's not been away."
