WhatsApp is the most widely used instant messaging app, and the company keeps adding new features to the app regularly. WhatsApp has many features that many people are still unaware of. Do you also use WhatsApp calls? If so, have you ever noticed that sometimes it says "Calling" and sometimes "Ringing" when you make a call?

WhatsApp Call: Understand the difference between Ringing and Calling?

When you call someone on WhatsApp and the other person's mobile data is turned off, you will see "Calling" on your phone screen. However, if you call someone and their data or Wi-Fi is connected, you will see "Ringing" on the screen.

The difference between "Calling" and "Ringing" indicates that if the other person's data is off, there is no option but to make a regular call. The other person's data don't need to be off; a problem with the internet connection could also be the reason.

Besides data and internet problems, if the mobile phone is switched off, you will also see "Calling" on the screen. If it says "Ringing" and the other person is not answering, it means the other person is busy, which is why your call wasn't picked up.

How to know if the other person is busy?

If you call someone on WhatsApp and the other person is busy, you will see "On another call" on the screen, which indicates that the other person is busy on another call.
