The phone call 15-year-old Dove Cameron received about her father’s demise wasn’t an easy one. The singer-actor, now 30, recently revealed about how the tragic moment in her life left her with ‘major phone anxiety.’ Cameron also revealed that she “couldn’t breathe” after hearing the tragic news.
Dove Cameron says she has "major phone anxiety"During the her apperance on the ‘ Call Her Daddy ’ podcast, Dove Cameron opened up about her the tragic moment and recalled receiving the news that her father died by suicide.
"I had a panic attack because it's the most out of control feeling you can have," she said before adding, "Actually all three of my big losses have come via phone call, which I guess is pretty standard... But I have major phone anxiety, I think, because of stuff like this."
Dove Cameron recalls receiving the news of her father’s passingOn the day she learned of her father’s demise, Cameron said a family friend messaged her to ask if her mom was around.
Because her mom was out, the family friend encouraged her to tell her mom to get in contact with a family member. "I just knew," the Disney alum said. "I can't tell you why I knew. But it was not a normal interaction. She had no reason to be talking to me."

Dove Cameron describes how anxiety feels to her Cameron recalled her reaction to the tragic news, saying, "I ran out of the room." She continued to say, "I couldn't breathe" and noted that she went into "this, like, animal mode." She described the feeling as awful and said, “You are fight, flight or freeze," she said. "You feel like you're going to vomit your soul… I don't know how else to describe it."
