The Travelling Auctioneers season three is on its way but who are the new faces joining the daytime show?
Once again, the little blue van will be going up and down the country as The Travelling Auctioneers help families restore their unknown treasures in the hope of selling them for cash.
Once again, original star Christina Trevanion will be back, now as the series’ narrator, along with JJ Chambers, Robin Johnson and Izzie Balmer.
This time around, they will be joined by four new cast members so here’s everything there is to know about their co-stars.
James ‘JB’ BroadHaving had a love of antiques since he was 12-years-old, James “JB” Broad is now the manager and auctioneer at Whittaker and Biggs in Cheshire and usually sells more than 1,400 lots per auction.
The 29-year-old has previously appeared on and The Bidding Room and admits that signing up for The Travelling Auctions was an “easy decision” for him.
He commented: “The chance to travel and meet incredible people while uncovering the stories behind their cherished possessions is something truly magical. I'm particularly looking forward to the excitement of the auctions themselves – there’s nothing quite like the anticipation of finding out which items resonate most with buyers.”
Lauren WoodWoodworker Lauren Wood won the second series of the show Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker in 2022 after her wife convinced her to apply.
She grew up closely studying her dad’s DIY projects before taking on a degree in cabinet-making and then teaching woodwork at a secondary school for 10 years.
Lauren shared: “For me, being hands on and restoring things is a life skill that not only brings joy to myself and others but also means we as a nation can reuse products and save them from landfill, so I’m thrilled to be putting my passion into practice alongside this top team!”
Briony ‘Bee’ HarfordBee has been described as a “rising star in the auctioneering ” with more than 12 years’ experience, climbing up the ladder from general valuer to head auctioneer. She was even headhunted by fine art auctioneers Bonhams to lead its operations in Yorkshire and the North East.
In addition to this, she made history by becoming the first woman in 40 years to take the rostrum at the Staffordshire Motorcycle Show in 2021.
“I love my job for many reasons, but the main one is helping people make a difference to their lives," Bee said. “I get no greater joy than unearthing treasures in people's homes that they had no idea were worth anything, then selling them on the rostrum!”
Saf FakirRestorer Saf Fakir runs his own woodwork studio in his home city of Bradford where he creates bespoke furniture. He is no stranger to appearing on TV either as fans of Quest’s The Woodland Workship will recognise Saf as the show’s resident expert.
The Travelling Auctioneer’s latest recruit followed in his dad’s footsteps as he was also a skilled craftsman.
Saf said: “I’m so humbled to join The Travelling Auctioneers. It’s a great opportunity for me to show how household items that most people would throw away can be totally transformed and given a new home.”
The Travelling Auctioneers season three premieres on Monday, January 6, at 4.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
